DLSU-Dasmariñas Collaborates With PAGEONE Group To Empower Future PR Professionals

De La Salle University-Dasmariñas’ College of Liberal Arts and Communication recently partnered with PAGEONE Group, the Philippines’ leading media and PR agency, to conduct an educational media tour designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practice. The collaboration provided students an exclusive glimpse into the dynamic world of public relations and communication, emphasizing PAGEONE’s innovative and research-driven.

PAGEONE Group’s Chairman and CEO, Dr. Ron Jabal, APR, led an engaging discussion on the foundations and evolving practices within PR, sharing valuable insights drawn from his extensive experience in the media industry.

Dr. Jabal emphasized the importance of writing in the field of communication, encouraging students to embrace writing as a continuous learning process. “You keep on writing—you don’t edit right away,” he advised, underscoring the iterative nature of skill development in communication. He also highlighted the essential role of reputation in public relations and PAGEONE Group’s guiding principle, stating, “Reputation is our license to operate. People will patronize you if you have a fantastic reputation.”

During the visit, students engaged in interactive discussions and activities that highlighted PAGEONE Group’s core principles, methodologies, and its commitment to delivering impactful PR campaigns. The event showcased the company’s dedication to empowering young professionals, providing insights into how PR strategies are tailored to client needs while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across various industries.

The tour underscored PAGEONE’s reputation as a trusted partner in both corporate and social initiatives, showcasing its successful campaigns and contributions to the industry. Through this initiative, the students were inspired to pursue excellence in communication, drawing from real-world applications shared during the visit.

In the session, students had the opportunity to ask questions, allowing for deeper discussion on real-world applications of PR concepts. Dr. Jabal addressed topics such as PAGEONE’s research-driven approach to adapting to client needs and its commitment to fostering relationships with key stakeholders, particularly within government and communities. “The value of PR is actually delivering common good, where you’re able to deliver and promote social work—it’s fantastic,” he shared.

In addition to highlighting PAGEONE’s achievements, Dr. Jabal inspired future PR professionals by delving into the significance of relationships in PR, stating, “Our success is because of our relationships and reputation. Everything emanates from that.”

By shaping this partnership with DLSU-Dasmariñas, PAGEONE Group reaffirms its commitment to nurturing talent and building a community of skilled professionals ready to take on the challenges of a fast-evolving media landscape. This collaboration opens doors for similar initiatives, further cementing PAGEONE’s role as a leader in public relations and media.
