OMG! Celebrating Filipino Culture Through Facebook Live Shows

In an attempt to promote Filipino culture among Filipino millennials, PAGEONE developed a digital campaign that promotes Filipino culture and traditions among young Filipinos called “OMG with JP and Ysh”. The campaign was developed by PAGEONE to support the thrust of the National Commission and Culture and the Arts (NCAA) in promoting cultural-related campaigns among Filipino youths.

According to NCAA, this has been a challenge that the agency has been facing over the years as Filipino millennials continue to be non-responsive and unappreciative of this type of campaign.

“OMG with JP and Ysh” is a Facebook live show produced by PAGEONE’s publishing arm PageOne.ph that features different Pinoy customs, creates an interactive and fun platform talking about Pinoy culture and shares experiences every Pinoy can relate to.

The campaign has produced impressive results, surpassing its goals for more than 100%. Throughout the duration of the campaign, the episodes of “OMG with JP and Ysh” combined for a total of 1,271,950 reach on social media, exceeding its original target of reaching 500,000 Filipinos. The Facebook live videos produced for the campaign has also garnered 841,377 live views and generated a whopping 340,341 engagements.

Due to the success of the campaign, it has been recognized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) with a Silver Anvil Award at the 53rd Anvil Awards under the category of Public Relations Tools.
