PAGEONE Group’s PR Institute Hosts Non-Profit Blogging Workshop: “Narratives Of Change”

PAGEONE Group’s PR Institute offered insights at the “Narratives of Change” workshop, where Deivid Guian Rioferio empowered participants to amplify non-profit stories through effective blogging techniques.

The Public Relations Institute (PRi), under PAGEONE Group, hosted a transformative writing workshop titled “Narratives of Change: Crafting Powerful Stories for Non-Profit Blogging.” Led by Deivid Guian Rioferio, APR, Public Affairs Manager of World Vision, the event aimed to equip bloggers, aspiring writers, and PAGEONE employees with essential skills for creating impactful narratives that elevate non-profit causes.

The workshop emphasized the power of storytelling as a vital tool for amplifying the missions of non-profit organizations across blogs and digital platforms. Participants were trained to develop authentic, engaging, and purpose-driven narratives that resonate with audiences and inspire action.

Mr. Rioferio highlighted the importance of ambitious visions in both personal and professional contexts, asserting, “The crazier the vision, the better.” He illustrated this with a reference to a famous theme park’s goal of creating a place where “every child will be happy,” emphasizing that even if such aspirations seem unattainable, the happiness they bring can have a profound impact.

“Communication is a team effort,” he stated, underscoring the significance of collaboration in effective messaging. Addressing the complexities of conveying difficult issues, he drew insights from World Vision International, advocating for “hope, joy, and justice for all children,” while acknowledging the unique challenges faced in the Philippines.

Rioferio articulated the complexities of poverty, describing it as “the combination of suffering, deprivation, vulnerability, and broken relationships that threaten human survival and prevent individuals from realizing their God-given potential.” He urged communicators to critically evaluate their contributions to awareness, challenging them to ask, “Am I contributing to awareness?” This call to action inspired attendees to double their efforts in fostering meaningful conversations that resonate with their audiences.

Through workshops like “Narratives of Change,” PRi continues to empower individuals within PAGEONE Group and beyond, encouraging them to become advocates of change through their writing. This initiative aligns with PAGEONE’s broader mission of leveraging public relations as a force for good, helping partners effectively communicate their goals and positively impact society.
